McMahon, Martine & Gallagher, LLP (MMG) has been a leader in insurance defense and coverage for more than six decades continuing its legacy of success with integrity. MMG defends clients in a wide range of lawsuits including: construction accident liability, premises liability, medical malpractice, legal malpractice, toxic torts, products liability, personal and commercial automobile liability and homeowner . We are prepared to work with our clients to resolve any liability or insurance dispute through consultation, negotiation, arbitration, mediation or litigation.
Founded by Walter McMahon and Lou Martine in 1958, MMG represents national and multi-national insurance companies as well as self-insured businesses and professionals litigating matters in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. After McMahon’s untimely passing in 1971, the firm continued to grow and build its reputation under the leadership of Lou Martine and William Gallagher.
Now in its second generation of leadership under Anthony Martine, Tim Gallagher and Managing Partner Aoife Reid, MMG has bolstered its capabilities through solution oriented, collaborative and inclusive practices, prioritizing innovation, diversity and security. MMG recognizes that constant innovation is imperative to providing top of the line legal representation to our clients. Committed to applying technology to claims case resolution, MMG’s technical solutions set them apart in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring that business continued as usual while maintaining a secure and confidential technical environment. MMG is committed to the future of the legal profession, forging relationships with area law schools to provide on the job training and real world legal experience to law students. Selected students join the firm for a semester and earn credit performing legal work under the supervision of experienced litigation Partners and Associates. This structured program is administered via phased modules empowering students to embark on their career paths with confidence in their litigation knowledge and experience. We are excited to deepen our dedication to the New York Legal community and provide valuable experiences to law students. In addition MMG maintains partnerships with international universities and foreign students interested in pursuing the legal profession. MMG's location in Brooklyn, New York along with our rich litigation history provides invaluable opportunities for foreign students to experience the American legal system.
McMahon, Martine & Gallagher, LLP (“MMG”) has been continuously monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) through guidance from the CDC and WHO, government officials, and state and local public health departments. For the safety of our staff and our communities, MMG has implemented a hybrid working modality. In deploying our business continuity plan, we have been actively monitoring potential vendor risks and working closely with our outside partners to understand their pandemic planning and response plans.
Our personnel are working both in the office and from home and we remain “open for business”. While courts have limited appearances, all attorneys and staff are fully focused on advocating for our clients.
We will continue employing leading technology solutions for videoconference meetings, depositions, mediations and other matters as appropriate and necessary. Our leadership is committed to communicating with our clients, the courts, and counsel with the goal of continuing to advance matters under the prevailing conditions.
