Patrick W. Brophy leads McMahon, Martine & Gallagher's insurance coverage practice and its complex motions and appellate practice. He has handled a wide variety of civil litigation matters since joining McMahon, Martine & Gallagher in 1995, including admiralty actions, civil rights cases, corporate litigation, commercial disputes, and insurance coverage matters, as well as cases within the firm's traditional practice of insurance defense.
In addition to his litigation experience, Patrick has presented New York CLE lectures on appellate practice at the New York County Lawyers Association and the Richmond County Bar Association, and has made other presentations on insurance coverage law and New York's Labor Law.
Patrick received his law degree from Columbia University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Law Review, in 1990. He graduated with highest honors from Lehigh University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
