Leigha Gillespie joined McMahon, Martine & Gallagher in 2019 as Operations Manager. She manages a robust administrative ream, recruits and onboards administrative employees, oversees employees benefits and other HR functions, implements and maintains law firm policies, creates and provides job training materials, records firm overhead expenses and manages monthly payments. She also manages all third party and vendor accounts including procurement of new services, contract negotiation and relationship management. She further supports the Managing Partner in creating marketing content, safeguarding the security and confidentiality of all client and firm data, and ensuring that firm projects are implemented while maximizing the effectiveness of firm operations. Leigha is an incredibly driven and supportive leader that motivates her team to be the best at what they do. Combined, her strong work ethic, relationship management skills and ability to obtain results make her a valuable addition to MMG.
Leigha previously worked as an Executive Assistant at UNICEF where she provided high level project and administrative support to the Director of Emergency Programmes. She also worked as a Program Coordinator at Harvard Business School where she planned and delivered a portfolio of Executive Education programs. She was a 2016 Fulbright Grantee in Malaysia, where she created, coordinated and administered programming on topics including environmental awareness, inclusion, and educational and professional development.
Leigha earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Interpersonal Communication from the University of South Florida in 2009. She is currently earning a dual Juris Doctorate and Master of International Affairs from City University of New York School of Law and City College with an expected graduation date of May 2022. She is member of the National Lawyers Guild and the Association for Legal Administrators.
